Dr. Corina Going was born in Switzerland, grew up on Cape Cod, and came to the Seattle area in 1992 to attend Naturopathic Medical School. She obtained her B.A. in Zoology from the University of Maine in 1981 and then worked variously as a Certified Nurses Aide, Certified Cardiac Technician in a hospital setting, and then as a Medical Assistant in a cardiology practice. She then began searching for a more holistic way of helping people to heal. Her search led her to attend Bastyr University; she graduated in 1996 with her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.
She completed a 2-year residency at Community Health Centers of King County while opening a private practice in Everett. She moved to Tacoma in 1999 and has had a private practice in the Tacoma area since 2000.
Dr. Going is a licensed primary care physician in Washington state. She specializes in homeopathic medicine as well as using botanical and nutritional medicine and diet and lifestyle counseling. She strives to treat each person as a whole and to address the underlying cause of the body’s imbalance.
She is married and she and her husband share their home with two cats and a dog. She enjoys hiking, bird-watching, gardening, cooking, and reading. She volunteers in Safe Streets and as a coordinator of Blueberry Park Community Garden. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the National Center for Homeopathy. She currently studies homeopathy twice yearly with master homeopath Henny Heudens-Mast in Belgium.
